EPC at final reception: what you must verify
The EPC (energy performance certificate) must be validated by a final certificate before the final reception. Without it, the builder remains liable for any deviations.
1. Regulatory framework

2. Documents to require
End-of-works EPC certificate, final declaration, certificates of installation of insulation materials.
3. Non-conformity
A gap between the initial study and the final certificate triggers financial penalties charged to the builder. Raise reservations at final reception if the final EPC is not compliant.
